?The Simpsons? mocks Karl Rove

Karl Rove has gotten "The Simpsons" treatment. After making news for not accepting the news that Barack Obama had been re-elected president on Tuesday, Rove got its comeuppance in the fictional town of Springfield.

In the opening credits of the longtime Fox sitcom, bad-boy Bart Simpson writes on his school blackboard, as usual. This time the phrase reads, "I will not concede the election until Karl Rove gives me permission."

The jab at Rove was in reference to the pundit's election night refusal to accept that Fox's Decision Desk had projected Barack Obama the victor over Mitt Romney in the presidential election.

After Fox News had called the state of Ohio -- and the election -- for Obama, the Republican strategist called the decision premature, even though most of the outstanding votes were from heavily democratic Cuyahoga County.

This led to a disagreement with the Fox host, Megyn Kelly, who walked out of the studio to interview the number crunchers for the network who confirmed their call for Obama. Kelly asked Rove, "Is this just math that you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better?"

"The Simpsons" wasn't the only show to take aim at the conservative oracle. On "Saturday Night Live," Jason Sudeikis, as Mitt Romney, hurls Karl Rove over a balcony after he claims Romney can still win Ohio.
