BAMBOOPINK REVIEW: IS BAMBOOPINK A VIABLE HOME BASED ...

Bamboopink is a new direct sales company headquartered in Irvine, California. Launched by JudeFrances and co-founders Jude Steele and Francis Gadbois, the company offers affordable and versatile jewelry designs and ties a Home Based Business Opportunity along with it.

However, let me make this very clear that I am not associated with Bamboopink in any way and this is just a neutral and unbiased analysis for the benefit of readers and business owners who are always looking for good opportunities to join so that in the end they can make an informed decision before signing up. Being an active part of the Home Based Business Industry, I feel apt to contribute meaningful opinions to the community utilizing the experience I have.

The Following Factors are important to analyze and review before signing up with Bamboopink as a distributor:

Bamboopink Review #1 ? Before joining any company, it is important to analyze the product that it is offering. The product should be UNIQUE, cater to a genuine need for the target group, and should be priced according to it?s perceived value. Preferably it should also be re-consumable so that it offers a good residual income for it?s owners.

Bamboopink intends to fill the gap in the direct sales jewelry market by offering classic, sexy, and elegant jewelry that is still affordable to the everyday woman. The collection starts at $29 and is composed of a myriad of earring charms that can be worn on several different hoops; on-trend bangles and stackable rings, and interchangeable pendants and chain necklaces which will make bamboopink the most versatile fashion jewelry collection around.

Bamboopink Review #2 ? Before Signing up with any company as a partner or distributor, you have to analyze their leadership and where they come from. If the company has a good leader who has a successful track record in the industry and is respected in the community then that is always a good sign that the company would do well. You should also analyze whether the leadership has the expertise or skills to sell their product portfolio.E.g You wouldn?t want a Carpenter to be selling Medical Goods!

JudeFrances Jewellery founders have partnered with entrepreneur Debbie Millar to form bamboopink. JudeFrances is a reputable name in the Jewellery Business and Debbie Millar is a successful real estate entrepreneur and wardrobe consultant.

Bamboopink Review #3 ? The Compensation Plan offered by the company is also a very important factor to review before joining as a Distributor. You would ideally like to work as less as possible to earn as much as possible.

Bamboopink claims to offer one of the most generous compensation plans in the industry, offering up to 10 potential revenue streams . For more details , Contact: Emily Cohen press@bamboopink.com 949-553-8860.

Bamboopink Review #4- To be successful in any company, it is very important that you possess cutting edge skills and knowledge of internet marketing & tecnology in this new modern age. The Direct Sales Cum MLM industry has changed and possessing the necessary skillet to generate and convert leads through the internet is imperative to succeed in this competitive Industry.

Bamboopink also places a lot of emphasis on technology and will arm distributors with state-of-the-art technology, including mobile applications for the iPhone, iPad, Windows7 and Droid operating systems. The revolutionary ?virtual trunk show? offered by the company will give distributors the ability to do business any time at the push of the button.

Hope this review will prove useful for you in order to make a viable decision for yourself and let me take this opportunity to wish you all the best.

MANY WITNESSES TO MANEUVERING ORANGE ORBS OVER ILLINOIS

1974 McHENRY ILLINOIS

The year was 1974 and on one warm summer night about 9 p.m. my family and I were playing a card game.? Our house was located on Old Mchenry Rd. between Forest Lake and Hawthorn woods Illinois.? We were into our game for about an hour when a car drove fast up our driveway.? We realized it was a friend of ours. What was strange was she never came over this late.? She ran towards our door we were all looking out of.? We wondered what was going on for her to be here at this hour.? She said there?s ufos everywhere.? We all looked at each other and asked ?what?s a ufo? ?? Seeing I was only ten then and can honestly say I never heard that term before. We walked out side and started looking into the night sky not knowing what we were about to see.?? I pointed up and said look at that orange light.? Then we noticed that there were at least five or six of them positioned in the sky.? Not in any formation but just randomly spread out and not moving.? The color resembled that of a campfire that?s glowing deep orange.? Matter of fact I can say that I?ve never seen that much of color ever since.? We were all looking at the lights for a while when one started coming our direction.? It stopped almost directly overhead.? Seconds later another one moved closer.? One at a time these lights moved nearer to us.? By this time we were all getting scared so we called our friends husband and told him what was happening.? He drove over within minutes and also was looking at the lights.? By this time they were all around the house above and near our 2/3 acres.? 2 or 3 hundred feet up. Maybe less because one of the lights hovered then decended over the swamp which was about 2 or 3 hundred yard away.? It was out of sight for 30 seconds or so then rose to it?s original hovering position.? The Lake County Sheriffs dept. was called and two deputies arrived shortly after.? They didn?t have to ask us what was going on because they saw them right away.? Here we were just staring at these lights with the deputies, admiring their orangeness.? One at a time they would move then stop, move then stop, move then stop.? Like they were looking for something.? One of the lights moved very close to another then hovered next to it momentarily then moved back to it?s original position.? Drivers by were pulling over seeing what we were seeing.? After two hours or so they took off into space (one at a time) leaving an orange streak in their wake.? The objects were about 3 times the size of venus when it is in full view.? The color orange was undescribable.? I guess you couldn?t get it more orange than that.? What they were can only be a guess.? This incident happened 38 years ago and is burned into my memory.? Seeing this started my quest to gain knowlege of what we saw and what others may have seen in the world.? NOTE: The above image is a rendering.? Special thanks to the witness Ben Garfield.

JORDAN TATE SCREENWRITER: HOW TO WRITE A FILM ...

?Film Treatments

How to write a film treatment

Generally speaking, a film's treatment is similar to that of an overview or synopsis of the film idea. It usually ranges from 8 to 15 pages and includes all the important conceptual elements, structured in 3-5 acts, each with a beginning, middle and end. When you submit your script, your treatment will often be the first document to be glanced over. If the main concept is enjoyable and your treatment is well written maybe, just maybe, your script will make it into the hands of the "professional script reader". This is an important element of screenwriting which you should know about. When you submit your script to producers, you will not be submitting your scripts to the major decision makers first. Your script will first have to pass through a filter that these large production companies have put in place.

Large production companies hire professional readers who go through the many scripts the company receives on a daily basis and they weed the bad options out. Sometimes the professional reader will reject a script if it's not formatted or packaged properly. Or more often, they will reject poorly written scripts or scripts with little or no commercial value. They can often decide these factors within a few short minutes or sometimes even seconds after taking a quick browse through your treatment.

If your treatment is well composed, interesting and has commercial potential, the professional reader may actually take a look through your script. If your script manages to capture their interest, they might then take a full read though it. After this point, if they still feel strongly towards it, they will forward your script to their manager or a producer who will then take another read through the script.

How hard is it to get your script past the professional reader? Well, it's really not that hard. While professional readers say they usually reject 95% of the scripts that come across their desks, this doesn't provide us with any insight into how much pure unprofessional junk they read.

Imagine you asked 10 of your friends to write you a short story which would be about 15 pages long. Most of these people would have limited or little writing experience. They may love the experience of writing and they may even love their little 15 page story. However, just because they love their work it doesn't mean that the general audience will. Imagine how many of your friends' short stories you would reject right away. Probably about 60%. If you were looking at publishing only 1 of them, you would probably find that some lacked proper structure, others were printed in fonts that were too small or too hard to read, while others had stories which were simply not believable or too boring and personal.

Out of the 40% that remain, even if the stories are good, you will be able to knock off many more because they do not have enough commercial potential, perhaps because they are not conflict-ridden enough or perhaps have too much violence or sexual content.

A film treatment states how the audience will experience the film. It's important to write treatments in an active voice and avoid the use of hyperbole (such as "this unique film will explore" etc). When writing treatments you want your audience to be able to visualize your film. You will want to write in present tense and provide an overview of the characters, locations and details of the film. You can write your treatment creatively. The purpose of a treatment is to allow your audience to smell, taste and experience your environment. Reading a treatment (second only to reading a full script) is the closest written equivalent to the look of your film.

That being said, it's important to leave out technical information. In a script you may include camera information if necessary (movement etc), but in a treatment you'll want to keep it limited to non-technical information.

Similarly, you won't want your treatment to have an editorial tone. Rather than saying things like:

This film will dive into the subject of gender relations in the hip hop community. The flm will focus on the relationship between two nemeses; Mr. Bugz and Mrs DJ Spinna.

Instead say:

"Mr. Bugz B and Mrs DJ Spinna stand toe to toe in front of their microphones. Mr. Bugz rhymes and misogynistic rhyme stating "we don't want no ugly girls in here tonight" to which Mrs DJ Spinna retaliates with a rhyme mocking Mr. Bugs unusually large ears. The crowd goes wild. Mr Bugz continues, but with less steam. The insult has touched on a vulnerable part of his identity."

Again, it's important to stress that you need to avoid editorial writing when writing treatments and instead speak in an active and present voice. Similarly, you should avoid using words and phrases like

"Next we see" - Don't start sentences with "we see". Tell the audience what they see without introducing your sentence with "we see".

Try to avoid passive words such as: Should, will, might and maybe.

Passive words evoke less emotion and take the audience out of the story. Feel free to use dialogue snippets, descriptions of the environment and characters. Essentially use any non-technical element that helps you paint as colourful of a picture as possible.

A treatment helps investors visualize your idea in a personal manner. Treatments don't have a "business feel" to them. They sound dramatic, personal and honest.

Good luck!

Who Me ? Retire?: New Study Shows Boomers Can't Afford to Stop ...

We can?t say we are surprised. A national online survey conducted for CIBC by Leger Marketing last month found more than half of Canadians 50-plus will continue to work after retiring in their 60s, mostly to supplement their income.

Fifty-nine per cent of Saskatchewan and Manitoba residents planned to work post-retirement. Quebec had the lowest number at 47 per cent and Atlantic Canada, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia were closest to 53 per cent, the national average.

Nearly half of 50-59 year olds surveyed have less than $100,000 saved for retirement. Some will even use employment income to supplement lack of savings.

However, 67 per cent wanted to work to maintain their social lives or just found working plain fun.

ZoomerMedia?s founder Moses Znaimer certainly doesn?t see a problem in continuing on the work path. In fact, in his fifth chapter of the Zoomer Philosophy, Znaimer expresses, ?? my new personal slogan is The Best Way to Keep Going is to Keep Going. The obverse is Beware! Retirement (specifically, the wrong kind of retirement) Can Kill You.? Click here to read more of Moses? perspective on retirement. Click here to read more of CIBC?s study.

Kentucky Lawmakers Shocked To Find Evolution In Biology Tests

Legislators want ACT to make a Kentucky-specific ACT test

Sorry, hillbillies. We're not making a separate test for you just because you're a bunch of bible-thumping idiots. We're also not making a separate test for Muslims which women are forbidden to take, or a separate Scientology test with science questions involving Thetan levels, or a separate test for North Koreans where the correct answer to every question is A. Our Supreme Leader, Praised Be His Name!

Everyone gets the same test (well, okay, we can do braille and language translations, but THAT'S IT). And studying for it is going to involve reading more than the Bible, or Koran, or Talmud, or whatever the fuck holy text you happen to be thumping.

Besides, you need real science in Kentucky. That meth isn't going to cook itself, you know.

Arizona faith groups step up to fill foster-care need ? Battlefield ...

12? comments????????? by Lindsey Erdody- Aug. 14,? 2012 10:16 PM The Republic | azcentral.com

Arizona?s faith-based community is increasingly becoming a key component in? the statewide effort to find enough foster and adoptive families to care for the? growing number of children in need.

In a collaborative effort between the ArizonaSERVES Task Force and? faith-based foster and adoption agencies, more church members are becoming? certified to foster or adopt.

During an informational meeting in April, the line of people interested in? helping went out the door and wrapped along the sidewalk at Gilbert?s Mission? Community Church. More than 300 families came to learn how they could? help.

Tiffany Deutsch, director of local justice ministries for the church.

Gov. Jan Brewer created the ArizonaSERVES Task Force in 2010 to engage the? faith community in the efforts to improve the foster-care system, among other? things. Since then, faith-based agencies have increased their family foster-home? applications from 18 percent to 21 percent of the total number of applications? to the Arizona Department of Economic Security.

Chuck Fitzgerald, manager of the DES? Office of Faith and Community, said the? task force targeted the faith community because faith leaders in the community? wanted to help but didn?t know how.

?The faith community believes they?re the only ones that can fix this, and? they may be right,? Fitzgerald said. ?With that kind of confidence from that? side and our willingness and confidence on this side, I think it will work.?

In Arizona, there are more than 13,000 foster kids in the child-care system.? According to the DES, there are about 3,500 licensed foster homes with nearly? 8,600 beds.

Stephen Browning, Christian Family Care statewide director for foster-care? services, said when he considers the number of churches in the area, there? should be plenty of homes for these children.

?When we do the math, we believe there should be no child waiting,? Browning? said.

No Child Waiting, a coalition of non-profits and evangelical churches, works? with about 30 churches. The organization was involved? with the event at Mission Community Church, which resulted in 20 families? beginning the certification process.

?Our goal is to get the word out and network with as many churches as? possible in the state,? No Child Waiting chairman Steve Hubler said. ?What? excites me about this is the people that I?m interacting with that are getting? involved with this are not doing it as a duty.?

Andrea Stuart, statewide director for Arms of Love Foster Care with Arizona? Baptist Children?s Services, said she has seen results since Brewer?s task force? was created.

?That kind of raised awareness among churches and pastors,? she said.? ?They?re realizing that there are children that need their help in their own? backyard.?

Stuart said that a year ago, the agency had about 85 foster families. It now? has 100.

Mark Upton, president of Christian Family Care, said the number of churches? his organization works with has doubled in the past year to include about 30? that are highly involved. In 2011, Christian Family Care was the largest? faith-based agency providing new foster-family applications, with 62 of the 253? church-based applications.

The various faith-based groups are asking church members to get involved at? any level they can. Upton said they are recruiting families to foster, adopt,? mentor, provide respite care, tutor or anything else to support foster? families.

Other ways to help include donating gifts, cooking and providing rides.

?Everyone in the church can be a part of helping meet the needs to these? children,? Browning said.

Researchers crack retinal code to deliver artificial vision

18 hrs.

Cornell University?researchers have devised a new method for restoring?human vision by looking into the way retinal cells communicate with the brain and each other. The result, they claim, is an enormous leap in quality over existing visual prosthetics.

Artificial vision may seem like science fiction, and it's true that the?kind you see in?"Star Trek" or "Blade Runner" still is, but there are projects all over the world that are successfully giving back?partial vision to to blind patients. There are, however, a number of obstacles: the size of the microelectrodes, the way of powering the device, the type of blindness the person has and other factors prevent current treatments from doing much more than letting patients see a few monochrome blobs.

That's enough to safely?navigate a room or street (no small improvement), but what about recognizing faces and objects, or reading signs and symbols? New research by Dr Sheila Nirenberg at Cornell?and Chethan Pandarinath at Stanford University claims to make such levels of?acuity possible.

Their method doesn't rely on just?making electrodes smaller or increasing the size of the image sensor. Instead, they looked at how the healthy retina communicates with the brain and tried to emulate that.

The retina is a?complicated, multi-layered web of cells that are networked together and constantly communicating.?Some forms of blindness result from a?degeneration of the light-sensitive cells (rods and cones) while the rest of the neural circuitry remains in place. Loss of any entire cell type would cause blindness as well, but when this particular type happens, that means that the ganglion cells, which collect information from multiple rods and cones and collate it, are intact and could still potentially send signals to the brain.

It's as if two people were talking on the telephone: the conversation will end either if the line itself is disrupted, or if one of the people hangs up. In this type of blindness, the line is fine and the brain is still listening, but no one is talking on the other end. And as it turns out, the replacement?signals sent by existing retinal implants?have been extremely garbled. What the researchers?did was to find out how to send a signal that is much more easily understood.

By studying ganglion cells closely, Nirenberg arrived at a sort of algorithm that describes how the ganglion?cells expect to be fed information from the rods and cones. By taking the normal image signal and passing it through an "encoder" running this algorithm, their device can send that image to ganglion cells in such a way that a much clearer image is sent?to the brain. You can see the differences in this diagram:

The technique, which they call "optogenic stimulation,"?works like this: the digital image, provided by a camera or image sensor in the eye, is sent to the encoder, which then sends the special encoded image to a microscopic projector. The projector shines onto the ganglion cells, which have received gene therapy so that they respond to light somewhat in the way the missing cells would have. And then the ganglion cells send that image along.

With it, they claim that 9,800 ganglion cells, properly treated and exposed with the device, will be able to "bring?prosthetic capabilities into the realm of normal image representation." That is to say, a grid of 100-by-100 of them would give enough visual information that a person would have a serious semblance or real vision.

The experiments thus far, successful as they have been, were?all performed on mouse retinas. But the researchers see no reason why it should not be attempted for humans as well; Nirenberg says that the gene therapy portion is the most important thing to test thoroughly, though similar techniques have already been used in the retina for other diseases.

Nirenberg and Pandarinath's paper, "Retinal prosthetic strategy with the capacity to restore normal vision," was published recently in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Janna Ryan sports thrifty Kohl?s dress on campaign trail

Janna Ryan, right, wife of GOP vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan, with Ann Romney during a campaign rally??

Janna Little Ryan found herself in the spotlight this weekend as she made her campaign trail debut with her husband, newly tapped Republican vice presidential candidate Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.

The 43-year-old mother of three showed up at campaign events in North Carolina sporting a thrifty $70 floral dress by Dana Buchman (on sale at Kohl's for $35). The down-to-earth look inspired fans on Facebook, who were charmed by Ryan's fashionable, yet machine-washable approach.

"I was so excited this morning watching Romney & Ryan in North Carolina. Romney calls the wives up to the stage &?OMG, Janna Ryan was wearing the same dress I wore to my nephew's wedding 2 wks ago!!!" wrote Cheryl Cooper of Oklahoma City on Facebook.?"I got mine at Kohls, with Kohls cash & 30% discount. Cost me about $20."

Ryan is known for her thrifty sense of fashion. The Ryan's neighbors Joe and Terry Moss of Janesville, Wis., told USA Today that Ryan showed up to a neighborhood porch party sporting a cute pair of sandals she nabbed at Goodwill for $2.

Ryan is following in the footsteps of the current first lady?who is known for her high-low fashion. Michelle Obama wore a?$35 H&M dress on the "Today Show" last year and has been spotted in Target's affordable designer collaborations. But the first lady also dresses upscale?consider the?$6,800 jacket she wore to Buckingham Palace for the Olympics' opening ceremonies.

Janesville residents have praised Ryan, a former high-powered tax attorney who is now a stay-at-home mom, for being "ladylike" and kind. She grew up in Madill, Okla., in a family that has deep Democratic roots. Her cousin is a retiring Democratic congressman?the only Democrat in Oklahoma's congressional delegation?and her uncle was the former governor of Oklahoma. She graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts before getting her law degree from George Washington University and becoming a tax attorney in Washington. According to the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal, Paul Ryan proposed to Janna at his favorite hunting spot when he was 30 and she 31.

Now space enthusiasts around the world can take a virtual walk through the transfer aisle of the cavernous Vehicle Assembly Building, stand at the top of Launch Pad 39A, and more, thanks to a new partnership between Kennedy and Google Maps with Street View.

"We are pleased to partner with Google on the new Street View project, which offers the public a behind-the-scenes look at the Kennedy Space Center's unique facilities that launched humans to the moon and Space Shuttles to low Earth orbit," said a spokeswoman in a NASA press release. "Viewers also will get a peek inside areas where flight hardware was processed, including elements of the International Space Station, and planetary and scientific payloads."

Visitors can take a virtual walk through the Operations and Checkout building, visit the nerve center of Launch Complex 39, the Firing Room in the Launch Control Center, and the Space Shuttle Main Engine shop.

NASA reports that it took five people, Google Street View car, a giant tricycle, a wheeled trolley, and a tripod to collect all the images in a week.

"Kennedy Space Center is an obviously amazing location with one-of-a-kind buildings and structures that we knew people would be excited to see,? Ryan Falor, project manager for Google Street View, told NASA. ?When I started managing the team, I knew that one of my goals was to bring Street View to NASA and I was thrilled when we got a positive response from Kennedy about the project."

India plans 2013 mission to Mars (+video)

Four years after its successful unmanned mission to the Moon, India plans to send an unmanned orbiter to the Red Planet next year.?

By Mounira Al Hmoud,?Contributor / August 2, 2012

Chandrayaan-1, India's maiden lunar mission, is taken to the launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, about 100 kilometers (63 miles) north of Chennai, India. The 3,000 pound (1,400 kilogram) satellite Chandrayaan-1 (Moon Craft in ancient Sanskrit) will join Japanese and Chinese crafts currently in orbit around the moon for a two-year mission designed to map out the whole lunar surface.

According to AFP, India?s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, has given his authorization and the final government approvals are expected at the end of this week.

"We will embark on the Mars mission after the Department of Science gives the green signal and decides the schedule early next year," Deviprasad Karnik, director of the state-run Indian Space Research Organisation told the French news agency.

A senior official at the Indian Space Research Organisation, requesting anonymity, estimated the cost of the mission at about $70 million to $90 million. The central government earmarked about $22 million for the project in the last federal budget.

In October 2008,?India successfully launched its first unmanned lunar probe, Chandrayaan-1, which detected water on the Moon. According to the Indian Space Research Organisation?s website, the country is planning a second unmanned mission to the Moon, Chandrayaan-2, which will include both an orbiter and a lunar rover.?

The news comes as NASA?s Mars rover Curiosity is set to touch down on August 5. The $2.5 billion rover, the largest manmade object ever to visit another world, is designed to assess the Red Planet's habitability.

India's mission is not without its risks. As Wired points out this week, the success rate for landing on the Red Planet is only about 30 percent.?So far only the Soviet Union and United States have undertaken successful missions to the Martian surface.

1 Corinthians 15 | 1 Minute Daily Word

_

?Where, O death, is your victory?
????Where, O death, is your sting??

The sting of death is sin,?and the power of sin is the law.?But thanks be to God!?He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.?

_

Young people today are preoccupied with death. It?s on their minds far more than most of us imagine. On the extremeties of this preoccupation are entire youth subcultures who dwell in a kind of death fantasy world of Gothic images and violent games.?I don?t pretend to understand the complexities of all this. At the same time I do believe there is something to be said here about death and our wider society.

Up to the middle of the twentieth century many young people had the experience of seeing someone die, usually a grandmother or grandfather, perhaps an aunt or uncle. It was not uncommon for the body to lay in state in the home. Family and friends came by to pay their respects. As a very young boy I can recall at least one occasion when we did this. I can still see the old fellow lying there in the middle of the living room surrounded by the quiet mourners, young and old.?

In the small Minnesota town where I served as pastor, an informal family service was held on the eve of every funeral. In a small chapel managed by the local funeral home, the family gathered in the presence of the open casket. Children, grandchildren, young and old stood around the body. Tears were shed, stories were told, the children asked questions.

Today we have marooned ourselves from death. When illness strikes we are whisked off to the hospital. If the illness is critical enough, the patient is put under guard by a long list of rules and regulations that limit access. If the person is too ill to return home, we warehouse them in those minimum security prisons called nursing homes. When death comes the body is sequestered and secreted off to the mortuary where it can be made presentable. Or, the remains are simply cremated. Under these circumstances, when we do everything we can to insulate our young from death, it should not be surprising that unhealthy preoccupations emerge.?

After many years of experience visiting the dying within the context of the medical establishment I would have to observe that with all our technical sophistication in the medical field we have, I believe, become clumsy and inept in dealing with death. But there is more. The strenuous, competitive efforts of the medical establishment and our own denial of death may mask an even deeper illness ? the idolatry of life.?

?

?May the peace of God that passes all understanding keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.?
