Parking space in Manhattan is continually constricted, but on Thanksgiving Day, it is almost unbearable. If you are from Westchester & Connecticut, your best route is riding the Metro-North train to Grand Central Station. It is a short walk west from Grand Central to the parade course on 6th Avenue and 42nd Street. If you are from Long Island, ride the LIRR to Penn Station. Starting on that point, you can go east to the parade course one block to Macy?s. You can also go north first to grab a better observing spot on 7th Ave in the 40s.If you really need to drive, be sure to come in to the city as early as 6:00am for you to be able to park on nearby lots on the Upper West Side or beside Lincoln Center where garages swarm
